What we never receive

• Files you open in any converter or document tool
• Numbers, dates or text you type into any calculator
• Results any tool produces for you

None of this is transmitted, because none of it needs to be. The processing happens in your browser. There is no server-side copy to retain, and therefore no retention period to promise you.

What we do collect

Aggregate, anonymous usage statistics: which pages are visited, roughly where in the world visitors are, and which browser they use. This tells us which tools to build next. It does not identify you, and it is not sold or shared.

Our web host records standard server logs, including IP addresses, for security and abuse prevention. This is normal for any website and is unrelated to what the tools themselves do.

Cookies and advertising

The tools themselves set no tracking cookies. One entry is kept in your browser’s local storage recording whether you accepted or declined advertising cookies, so you are not asked twice. It never leaves your device.

Some pages carry advertising. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site or other sites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on those visits. Third parties may also place and read cookies in your browser, or use web beacons, to collect information as a result of ad serving here.

You can decline all of it. Choosing Reject on the banner stores that refusal and the advertising script is never requested — not loaded and then ignored, never fetched. Every tool keeps working either way. You are not asked again.

You can also opt out of personalised advertising independently of this site, at Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info. Opting out does not remove advertising; it makes what you see less relevant to you.

Who else is involved

Deliberately as few parties as possible, and each one is named rather than described as an “industry partner”.

• Cloudflare serves the site and keeps standard access logs for security. There is no application server, so there is nowhere for your files to be sent even in principle. Cloudflare also loads a small analytics script (static.cloudflareinsights.com) which counts page views, referrer, browser and country. It sets no cookie and stores nothing in your browser, and it cannot see anything you type or any file you open — but it is a request to a third-party host, so it is named here rather than filed under “server logs”.
• Google AdSense serves advertising, and only after you accept. This is the only third party that can set a cookie here.

Beyond those two: no session recorder, no heatmap tool, no social tracking pixel, no advertising identifier tied to you by us, and nothing that builds a profile of you across visits.

Your rights

Because we hold no personal data tied to your use of the tools, there is generally nothing for us to export or delete. If you believe we hold information about you, you can ask what it is and require us to remove it — write to hello@orpheustools.app.
